The Role
At Last Mile Health, we are all stewards of our reputations and our resources. Do you have experience using your accounting knowledge to support the grant management function at a growing non-profit? If so, you may be our next Revenue Accountant.
The Revenue Accountant manages the daily financial reporting, accounting for revenue, and provides global compliance oversight under the direction of the Controller. This position also works closely with Last Mile Health’s grant management function to provide accounting and grant support services to meet the needs of the organization and its partners.
What You'll Do
- Collaborate with the Partnerships and Development team on grant proposals and pre-award grant management
- Support in the post-award grant management process by ensuring compliance to donor regulations, adherence to Uniform Guidance, management of the Single Audit, preparation of grant billing, assigning labor distribution, and grant budget reporting
- Partner with Grants Managers to support programmatic teams in the development of budgets and budget revision for specific workstreams
- Analyze budget trends and make recommendations for cost control and reduction for various grants
- Assist in the development of policies and procedures at both the US and anchor country offices to ensure organizational alignment
- Train and provide ongoing support to programmatic staff and the Finance and Administration department on best practices pertaining to financial management of grant funds
What You'll Bring
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 5-7 years of accounting experience
- Previous non-profit experience
- Demonstrated familiarity with diverse accounting functions
- Demonstrated computer skills and systems proficiency
- Ability to work cross-collaboratively with programmatic and grant management teams
- Highly detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
- Familiarity with NetSuite general ledger, including the ability to design appropriate and useful management reports and demonstrate aptitude to identify problems in financial reports and implement required changes
