The Role
The COVID-19 Digital Classroom created 3 courses on the Community Health Academy’s white labeled TechChange (TC) Platform. In order to achieve the Digital Classroom’s objective of providing community-based health workers and trainers access to quality assured openly licensed content that can be used on mobile devices and shared with local communities globally, this content needs to be migrated from the TC LMS to Moodle so that it may be delivered offline on the OppiaMobile App.
Some of the TC content will require adaptation as the functionality in Moodle is less robust than TC. The Consultant will determine how to best adapt the content, and will develop an instructional design template to ensure consistent look and feel across courses. As more course content is developed it will be evaluated and crafted to align to that template.
Project Details:
- Commitment – 4 months at approximately 40 hours per week with an immediate start date preferred
- Location – Remote
- Remuneration – Maximum estimated fees upon completion are expected to total $23,000. Consultant will be paid upon completion of each deliverable or according to a mutually agreed upon timeline.

About Last Mile Health and the Community Health Academy
Last Mile Health (LMH), an organization that has worked for more than a decade to support governments to build national community health systems, has launched the Community Health Academy, which leverages digital technology to train, empower, and connect CHWs and health system leaders around the world.
The Academy is working to support countries to scale their CHW workforces and increase the quality of care that these CHWs provide by creating the world’s first continuing education platform for CHWs and health systems leaders on a global scale. The Academy will feature a two-pronged learning platform—one supporting CHWs, and the other, supporting community health systems leaders to build their capacity to design and manage effective national-scale CHW programs and strong primary health systems.
